WTF? Are you serious? Why is it not okay for society to shame someone like Fogle? Because his mental illness causes him to have the desire to touch children? Why should he get a pass from public shaming just because he is mentally ill?

The fact that he is too fricked up to tame his desires or to understand how many lives he has fricked up, that is why he is mentally ill.

They need serious help, but I imagine someone like Jared was terrified to seek help because he would lose everything.

Okay so he is a selfish POS who would rather frick up kids lives in order to fulfill his own desires rather than seek help in fear of losing his wealth. Quit making fricking excuses for this asshat. He wanted to frick children and thought he was untouchable. He needs as much shame brought on him as possible, and to me, even that isn't enough.

ETA: You always have a choice, even if you are mentally ill in this regard. There is no excuse for fricking with children. Period.

I absolutely agree. But why is there no avenue to help these people? Like at all? Think about all of the pedophiles exist. Yet we have no way to address this issue. No way to support these people and help them long before they act.

If we really wanted to protect our children, we'd be trying to stop this shite at the source. But right now, anyone who admitted to being attracted to children who had done no wrong would be absolutely shamed. And that's a fact.
