Why it is time to separate from Les Miles by LSUsports4life

I'm not a Les Miles fan. Never have been. Didn't like it when he was hired. I laughed at the March for Miles (and still bring it up to the Miles' Apologists), and I was just fine with him leaving for Arkansas. I don't say this because anybody gives a frick, but to maybe give my next comment some ounce of credibility to those who've only recently come around to my way of thinking (since 2005).

In his tenure, there have been a number of times to separate from Miles...but this year is not one of those times. It makes no sense when we've already blown the season, have the top recruiting class in the country, and are bringing back a team that will have a QB with a year's worth of starting experience (my pitch for why Harris should've gotten more starts last year) and a host of seniors plus our standout sophomore class. It'll be Les's last best chance at winning an SECC/NC--and it is extremely unlikely that any new coach could come in and do the same all the while having to implement a new system, coaching staff, etc. If Les blows it (and he probably will), can him and tempt a good coach with the talent leftover. But this year is not the year to fire Les. Let's at least take advantage of this staff of excellent recruiters that Miles has assembled...if for no more than one recruiting class.

We aren't even close to the same program we were back then. We've become a top 10 program nationally the past 10 years. Coahes have shorter leashes.
If fear of mot making the right hire is your reasoning behind not getting a new coach then that is absurd. Les won't be here forever. If we can't hire the right coach now, what mKes you think we will hore somone good when Les hangs it up? we're clearly in a decline, if we can't keep coordinators to the point where they make laterall moves in our own division, something has gone wrong. The time to make a change is now before things get worse.

Talk to Waco and prove your worth. You have been watching LSU since before TV practically and you have only 24 posts. That's what matters. You need like 1580 more posts to be as wise as Waco.
