exactly. the only coach we've had in the last few decades that couldn't recruit well was mike archer.
even hallman had a few top 10 classes. dinardo recruited saban's first sec championship team.

Rivals only lets you go back as far as 2002:
2002: 25th class
2003: 15th class
2004: 27th class
so we have 3 top 30 classes at Oklahoma St, a school that is dwarfed by OU. So to answer your question: He was damn fine at recruiting at OK St.
