True. They performed well under Ryan.

Byrd absolutely has lost whatever he had. Vaccaro is pretty average by any fair standard.
I'm not saying Ryan should have been retained. I have no issue with the move given the extent to which the defense has devolved over the last 3 games.
But, to pretend like Ryan was the primary cause of the problem is just plain wrong.
