In my opinion, it doesn't matter whose fault it is. As the head of the defense, he should be fired bc they are god awful. Maybe he got screwed with the situation but guess what; that's life. Being in charge isn't always fair, and you will always be the first to the guillotine.
The insane thing to me isn't that people are knighting for Ryan but are instead using the fact that the Offense is sucking (even though we are ranked #1 in Total Offense, #4 in total points, #7 in pts/game ) to defend him. Even if the other side of the ball sucked which it doesn't, the fact remains that the defense is terrible.It's not like they are starting out well and then failing because they are tired. No, quite the opposite; the offense becomes one dimensional after 3 drives because the d is giving up historically terrible numbers.
The fact remains, that argument doesn't make sense

I'm not going to sit here and say the offense can't score points, but they are god awfully inconsistent this year. Brees is gonna Brees, but we absolutely cannot run the ball and he's having to do everything himself.
