Stop diminishing the regular season.
The real truth is that the regular season will never be diminished, be it 4, 8, or 16.

8 might be better but if a one loss Florida team goes to the playoffs and we don't there is nothing to cry about. No conference should ever send more than one team to a four team playoff.
If you lose your conf. then you have already lost the NC!
If you win your conf. then you have shown on the field that you have won against your own conference and now it is time to take on the others. Conf. Champion is the representative for the conference. PERIOD!
