Look, I'm just reading some of your posts, and I don't understand how Miles defenders play this all-or-nothing game. The people who are wanting a more effective passing game or a running game that spreads out the defense don't want to abandon the run, but just add wrinkles to the offense that are part of nearly EVERY pro-style team or power running team. Wrinkles like jet sweeps/jet sweep motion, play action passing to TE or flats on first down, quick slants, bubble screens, tunnel screens, read and traditional options, at least run out of spread formations so the inside LBs need to cover 2 gaps instead of the 2 TE and power I formation that Les and Co. seem to want to revert to and power run it from. It's not hard to add some wrinkles to an offense. The only passes LSU seems to show are out routes, hooks and play action down the seems and sometimes a streak on the sideline.

Again, nobody is saying to STOP using Fournette, but at least give the young man some help. He is truly the best RB I've seen since AP, but a Bo Jackson/Reggie Bush hybrid couldn't have succeeded against a defense that was prepared to stop the power running game. They were winning the battles in the trenches all night, but we never attempted to use formation to open holes... just kept trying to pound it with heavy formations.

It's VERY obvious that Bama's defense has only given up yardage/lost games against teams who spread them out and attack the open spaces. You cannot beat Bama by running right at them... They are too well coached/disciplined and have a size/strength advantage on nearly everyone up front (But I'm still shocked at how they embarrassed our very good O-line). Coach Miles/Cameron need to take notes from Bama's losses and implement some changes or we will all be whining for 4 days again next year.
