While I agree with you on the feeling of watching that game, the reality is that the game plan was not as you described. We didn't continuously run it up the middle. We had some typical toss lead, we had LF trying to make it to the outside, we had some zone read. At the end of the day, the run/pass ratio was 26/19 which is pretty balanced. The reality of that game is that we got completely owned on the lines. When your OL is getting pushed back 3-4 yds every play and the pocket collapses every play, the result is that LF has to break several tackles just to get back to the line of scrimmage. It also results in a 6/19 passing performance. Couple that we kick off out of bounds, a blocked PAT, a shanked punt, and no KOR blocking and you get the crap-sandwich we suffered through on Saturday night.

That was honestly the best I have seen bama play all year. I've watched them in several of their other games and they didn't look like that. I don't believe that there were any play-calls that were going to change the outcome of that game. They had a chip on their shoulder and housed us. It sucks, but it is what it is.
