Hopefully LSU puts down an epic beat down on Bama.

On the one hand, I believe that given the way the committee rated conference titles last year, this poll is irrelevant: the final four will be the four best conference champions (or three plus Notre Dame). Period.
On the other, these ratings are insane. Look, I'll take the committee at its word and say that it values Quality Wins above all else, as defined by wins over teams above 500. Then we look at common opponents, quality of loss, and "game control".
Using this criteria, 3 of the 5 conferences have flat out wrong results. Bama is way ahead of Florida despite similar Quality wins (3-2 Bama), but Florida has the edge on common opponents (2-0 v 1-1) and a far better loss (better team and on the road). But that's not even the worst result...
Big Ten Quality Wins:
Ohio St: 3 (Penn St, WMU, UNI... yes, two MAC teams)
Iowa: 3 (Wisconsin, N'western, Pitt)
Sparty: 5 (Michigan, Oregon, Air Force, WMU, CMU)
Sparty has the most QW but Iowa's Wins are clearly BETTER. I'd rank them, on resume, Iowa, Sparty, then tOSU. Remember, these rankings aren't speculative. If we're looking at actual accomplishments so far, Iowa is a hair's breath ahead of Sparty with OSU lagging behind.
Big 12 Quality Wins:
TCU: 1 (Tex Tech)
Baylor: 1 (Tex Tech)
Okie St: 2 (Tex Tech, CMU)
Oklahoma: 1 (Tech)
So why is Okie St down with OU and not up with Baylor and TCU?
Things will sort themselves out, but right now, its clear the committee values Brand Name more than anything.
