Way back in the sixties and seventies, you could catch parts of some English league matches on Wide World of Sports.
I was a kid and thought the name "Arsenal" sounded cool.
I admit, I've only followed PL--and world professional--football closely the last few years or so with access to all the PL matches on my cable package.
I wasn't following closely during the time of The Invincibles.
But now, I am much more passionate about the PL than I am about the NFL.
I have been a Rams fan since I was a kid and my interest has been revived some with Todd Gurley and the pending move back to Los Angeles--kinda makes me nostalgic.
But the same nervous anticipation I used to feel before Rams games, I now feel for Arsenal matches.

I had a similar story to one of the earlier guys. This Brit kid moved to my school and of course everyone loved him because of his accent. We became pretty good friends and his name was Mikey.
It was right when Owen was blowing up and my friend Mikey was an LFC supporter. We'd watch them whenever we could and his parents paid the extra money to do so.
2001 was a good year for LFC and then 2005 was insane. That cemented it for me. 2005 was about when I was old enough to really become a supporter and then Torres etc and thats all she wrote.
I feel like most of my friends support Arsenal. Don't really have a problem with Arsenal. The rest I could just never see myself supporting in all my life.
