What would be the charges in Ohio if this were not the starting QB of the Buckeyes and just some random kid from the campus?

Depends on the arresting officer and the circumstances. I'd imagine JT was polite and cooperative with no other offenses, so they let him go with a ticket and court date. We had more Marines that I want to admit get DUIs, and as long as they weren't belligerent, they'd let us come pick them up with a citation and court date.
I appreciate the insinuation, but his status as Ohio State's starting quarterback had nothing to do with him getting released instead of going to jail. We aren't Florida State.
