Marc Gasol: 18.8 points, 9.28 rebounds, 1.38 blocks, 39.9% shooting (18 games) Dwight Howard: 18.9 points, 13.9 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 56.6% shooting (23 games)
How about assists?
Gasol is a facilitator. He's more than capable of handling the ball, and creating for his teammates. A point-center if you will. It's a feature that makes him unique amongst 5s in the league, and it's a big reason why he gets so much love.
He's a massive 7 footer with skills.

The Grizzlies have a great point guard. They need scorers. And Gasol shooting less than 40% as a post player is pathetic.

3.6 a game, less than two more than Dwight. I don't think that's really a big deal. I'd rather my center defend the paint and rebound. FWIW Cousins averaged the same amount as Gasol last season.
