I don't think I saw Steele mentioned one time in that link but yea reactions were defenintly had

Saban seemed to want to downplay the LSU "rivalry". He also seemed to want to inject himself into LSU's success -- "we had great athletes when I was there." It was weird.
I took it that the repeated LSU questions irritated him, rather than anything particular to Steele. Afterall it's not like Steele made a lateral move like Chavis stupidly did. (Think Chavis regrets that?
