Paramedics were there within 5 minutes and the cops showed up later at the hospital. Yeah, NOPD was woefully late, but let's not act like the guy was left languishing in a gutter before they attended to him.

Why isn't there communication between the paramedics and NOPD? My understanding of the story is that by the time cops arrived hours later they couldn't find the victim (no $hit - he's in the hospital) and the witnesses had left, so they marked the call as unfounded.

How the hell was NOPD not aware and/or not been notified by EMS that the victim had been transported to the hospital in critical condition?
