Safeties have been very average..blown assignments and too many missed tackles.

Florida has a very good defense. VERY GOOD. Offense is one dimensional and predictable. No run game. When Harris is in the pocket he is too short to be effective, when he rolls out or gets out of the pocket he is effective and can really move. This problem goes to Florida's offensive line. That is the weakness in this Florida team. They are fast and strong and tackle well on defense. LSU has large special teams issues. Players still leaving lanes. Defensive Secondary for LSU is hit or miss. Many busted coverages which means they are confused. They should be thrown 100 balls every practice to teach them how to catch. Drop interceptions too often. Also match up problems many times. LSU offense is coming along. Passing game needs more middle of the field 8-10 yd routes. Middle was open all night, which is what Florida was giving away but LSU did not really capitalize on it. On D-Line Neil is improving game by game and will be a beast. LF what can I say that has not been said. Those 180 yes were made on brute strength and toughness. No long ones but 6 yds per carry against that VERY GOOD Florida defense. Glad to see Miles recover his gonads on the fake field goal. Peveto would be packing his bags today. At one time during a time out, I saw him giving instructions to the defense only to have coach O come over and grab his guys and direct them to him. What in the heck is Peveto doing trying to coach the defense. Miles was standing 5 yds away just looking which tells me that Miles does not get involved with the defense. When Pelini was here he told me Miles would not talk to him all week except on Friday when he asked if all was ready.
