It honestly blows my mind that we have people who will take Jurgen's side on this when he's done everything to take the blame off of his shoulder, somehow blaming the refs and fans for the loss against Jamaica, blaming Bedoya for not being a defensive mid and now blaming our best player who had been out injured and was only recently back for pulling himself out of the game after playing 111 minutes.

I'm far from a Klinsmann supporter. I think he is an awful manager. But in this situation, he is perfectly justified IMO. Fabs decided he couldn't tough it out 9 more minutes for "his country". Heck, I'd take a beating by a pro boxer for 9 minutes if I could still stand for my country.

Klinsmann playing Fabs as a fullback isn't the question. Fabs pulling himself in the 111th minute is.

Dumbest thing I've ever heard. What if you getting beat to shite by a pro boxer hurt others? So the beating was unnecessary and hurt others. Did you really accomplish anything? It is a scientific fact that sometimes your body just cannot go on. This isn't life or death, Fabs felt (as he should have) that there was a fresher player that could come on and do a BETTER job that he would do for the last 10 minutes.

We can throw out stats about PK save percentage and bullshite, but what does that matter if we don't get there? It's not like Fab's replacement gave up the goal. The only consequence of his action was that Jurgen blasted him in the media and sent arguably our best player home because his feathers were ruffled. And Jurgy once again had to make sure his authority is known.
