That's two stories like this in two weeks. S. Carolina had a similar incident where the cop was killed and his/her colleagues didn't kill the perp.
Amazing restraint and a great example of the good side of the blue line. She should get as much coverage as the bad ones, but they won't.

I might be missing something (I didn't see the article) here but these sound like situations where restraint is absolutely not needed. A man whose armed and proved that he's willing to shoot is a threat to everyone around him and he needs to be removed as a threat as quickly as possible.
