The top 40 scorers in the NBA last year averaged 1197 points for the year

The top 40 blockers averaged 75 for the year

This scoring system skews it so hard toward scorers and negates the value of hustle stats.

ETA: "Points leagues" are dumb as shite.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't each "point" given for highest total of each category?

So assists are weighted the same as points scored, rebounds, blocks, etc.

So blocks, steals, and assists are basically worthless in this set up.

What a joke.

I'll list the percentage of fantasy points the following guys that had(of their total) nothing to do with scoring(asts/rebs/blks/stls)

Pau(68.4%)
Deandre(81.8%)
Westbrook(65.4%)
Wall(78.9%)
Bledsoe(71.3%)
Curry(54.9%)
Lilliard(59.7%)
AD(55.6%)
Kyrie(50.8%)
Milsap(67.2%)
Z-Bo(69.2%)
Tyreke(76.2%)
Hayward(59.2%)
Ellis(58.6%)
Butler(53.6%)
Lawson(75%)

There's plenty more I could add but this clearly shows that stats other than scoring points are extremely important.

Pure scorers are actually terribly penalized in this league. Averaging 20ppg with no other real stats and shooting 40% will be end of bench type player.
