Anyone remember Danny's Fried Chicken? Oh Lord - they made the best onion rings - really more like onion strings - thin and spicy, perfectly seasoned - they were amazing. Didn't care if I got the chicken, but always had to have these. Could eat several orders.
There are still a few Danny's Fried Chickens around Louisiana, just not Baton Rouge. Several friends worked there during high school at the Drusilla location which was prior to that Bonaparte's Fried Chicken.
And I miss Shakey's Pizza on Airline along with Pitt Grill, Tiffin Inn and the old original A-Frame International House of Pancakes.
The burger at Circle Bowl was very good and the drinks in that old smoky bar where very good to an underage kid.

Thanks. Thought Danny's were long gone. Looks like they're in Franklin, Houma, and Morgan City. Wonder if the onion rings are still as good.
