You seem passionate about this. I understand what you are saying but I feel if it's done in a responsible manner, it can become very productive for him. The same way I feel about him having his own 410 shotgun. Expose it to him and learn the right way.

I'll chime in on this issue, and i have to say that the statement is sad enough so true. i work in an operating room at a trauma one med center and if you spent 2 weeks with me during the summer you would never think of buying an ATV for a loved one.
Man i rode the shite out of 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers when i was a young'n but damn its hard to see kids lose their life or limbs over these things.

Make sure you get him a helmet which is cool enough that he will wear it. Head injuries are not what you want.
