We bought our son one of the chinese throwaways when he was 7. He rode it till it fell apart.He was learning the entire time. We upgraded him to a Honda Recon 250 last year when he turned 10. Thats a darn good bike.

a 220 or a 250 would be good for that age. I dont think there is really anything available between that and a 110, and the 110 would be small for him. A 250 he could ride basically forever.
