I'm going from a knife that can't slice through ANYTHING to a Global. So anything is an improvement, and I'm sure it'll impress me with my lack of knife knowledge 
My current knife won't even go through a clove of garlic that still has the skin on. Just slides off.

I don't know if this helps, but my Global knife came in a day early and I tested it out on some stuff I wasn't eating. And it is like nothing I've owned
