Most Irrational Self-Pride

Baton Rouge

/thread

I'm from Baton Rouge and I don't know of anyone that has irrational self-pride in Baton Rouge.

At MOST, some people used rose colored glasses when discussing the future of the city and the potential it has.

Never, ever hear people talk about how great it is now or how proud they are to be from there. Its usually the opposite. All my friends left and openly admit how much it sucks. I would almost put Baton Rouge in the "Irrational Self-Hate" category instead.

It IS getting better though with the new downtown and the promising development opportunities between it and LSU.

Irrational self-pride: Texas (pick a city)

Irrational self-hate: Cleveland. Sure they have proud folks, but a lot of people up there don’t appreciate the changes going on. It is improving pretty rapidly as a place to live and raise a family.

Also, I would like to add that the most untalked about fantastic city in America is St. Paul/Minneapolis. That place is incredible.

Carry-on.
