Self pride and hate: Houston.
The inner loop professionals love it. Great museums, restaurants, sports, nightlife. A city with a lot of originality, green space, and culture.
Suburbanites hate it and rightfully so. I've never been in more of a cookie cutter cubical like place than Katy, Pearland, Sugarland, Woodlands, etc.
The thing that aggravates me the most is when people express their extreme hatred of houston after having 'lived' there. When asked where they lived they mention one of the burbs. Well, idiot, you didn't live there then.
