you do realize people are asking for a very conservative passing game, right? why are you going all the way to one extreme?

Because he clearly isn't satisfied watching our qb throw for 150 and pick up 1st downs with his legs.

do you honestly think we're "texas tech" if we throw for 150-200 a game?

We just did throw for 150. It's not like we aren't calling passing plays. If we take away penalties and drops (yes I know every team has drops) our qb has decent stats.

developing the phase of the game is not "just for the sake of doing it"

Except yes it is when you're rb is averaging 11 yards per carry and your oline' s pass protection is slightly above average, at best.

we will face teams who can stop/slow our rushing game

Who? They couldn't last year and we had the worst passing efficiency I've ever seen at lsu.

did you miss the end of 2011? we barely beat bama, had to have STs bail us out against UGA, and then were dominated by bama

No defense in cfb is close to that 2011 bama defense and we ran for 207 yards (5.9 yards per carry) against UGA in 2011. Yes our 1st half was bad but the 2nd half we took their manhood.

do you think we can win all of our games by running 3/4 of the time every game

Yes as long as our passing is efficient. If Harris can average 120 yards passin,65%completion and pick up 1st downs with his legs,we will be very hard to beat.

what CFB team has won a title throwing for 150/game or less in the BCS era?

and we're not averaging 150/game yet. we're averaging right at 100/game, so your example doesn't exist in reality

quote:

We just did throw for 150

and we are averaging 2/3 of that

i said 150-200/game, which means averaging

It's not like we aren't calling passing plays.

we're not calling that many and most are sideline routes or deep routes, not the ones we need to work on

Except yes it is when you're rb is averaging 11 yards per carry and your oline' s pass protection is slightly above average, at best.

unless you plan on averaging that much every game, esp against ole miss and bama, then you're 100% wrong

that would literally be a HISTORIC season and a complete outlier over the past 15+ years

you think we can win it all by throwing for 1560 yards through the SEC title game?

and we ran for 207 yards (5.9 yards per carry) against UGA in 2011. Yes our 1st half was bad but the 2nd half we took their manhood.

thanks to special teams plays flipping momentum

I am just asking for more passing and play calling to keep them honesty.

Did we pass to the TE this week? That's not creative but at LSU it feels that way.

2 of Harris completions came off bombs... if not for for these 2, he doesn't break 80 yards a 3rd game in a row. But we hit them both so maybe call a couple more?

The first quarter passes to Depree and Quinn were, beautiful! More of this is all I'm saying. ..move the chains make them respect the pass which makes LF unstoppable
