Why do we get so passionate and consumed with it? Does it become an external part of us and we live through it? I don't know but we sure do

I know some of the most passionate fans never even stepped foot on the campus but they live and die with their team. Pro ball has nothing on college ball.

It's part of our identity. Rome had the colloseum, the Greeks had the Olympic games, Brazil has soccer. Canada and Russia have hockey. South Africa has the Springbocks. We have football. It's part of who we are. An expression of our culture.
