I was at the Prep Player of the Year banquet when Leonard, who was undoubtedly the best player in the state, graciously gave his trophy to the QB of the state champion East Jefferson Warriors.

Guys, LF is going to go down as one of the best. Enjoy it while we have him in purple and gold. He will, like many others, be a great ambassador for LSU once his time here is done. It's been and will be a pleasure to watch him for years to come.

Came here to report this very thing. It was the New Orleans Quarterback Club Prep Player of the Year. As an EJ allumni, I can attest that we aren't used to even being invited to the banquet.
