Sad if this is true. When I was in Tiger Band in the early 70s, there was mutual respect between both bands and both schools. The Auburn band was outstanding (but not as good as we were). We actually held up a banner across the stadium to salute their band, and it was warmly accepted by their band and fans. We also had a post game reception for them in the old band hall, and everyone had a great time.

I think after Tommy Tuberville's reign of terror at Auburn, with smoking of cigars in Tiger Stadium and doing his best imitation of Spurrier by running up the score with less than a minute left, it all turned sour.
