For those of you too young to have been there for Cecil Collins vs. Auburn, we felt the same about him afterwards that you feel for Fournette today. We were in awe. He had other world ability that was not measurable. LF is Cecil with good mental health. LF is truly amazing but to say Cecil wasn't is simply not true. Cecil just wasn't a good person, but he was a once in a few decades back like LF is.

Thanks for bringing perspective. Man, either a bunch of kids in here or adults that don't understand how special of a back CC was. It's not tainting LF to compare him to Deisel as a back. Up until this season CC was the best back (though with a small sample) most had ever seen in p&g. That's changing quickly. And I'd add LFs sample is still small too. His freshman season wasn't better than all previous. It's also ironic that CC's stats were very similar and against the exact same teams.

Except we have no idea if it's true. Saying a rb with 3 tds was truly amazing is just being biased. His 8.1 ypc is good but there have been rbs to achieve that over an enitre season. Like I've said already,he ran against 3 scrubs and Auburn and was running behind some of the best olinemen and fbs to ever put on a lsu jersey
