The akorn is awesome for the price. Can get up to 700+ degrees for steaks and down to 225 and below for smoking. Smoked a brisket last week and after I took it off, let it burn itself out. I was able to hold 225 steady for 30 hours on one load of lump charcoal.

Not saying it isn't as it does have some great reviews, but it will probably only last five or so years. I plan on having my Weber Performer for at least 20 years and the other Kamados will last a lifetime. Albeit the expensive kamados that last a lifetime will cost $1,000.
