The market is cray out here right now, get on Zillow and check out home prices in Dilworth or Elizabeth (tight urban neighborhoods).
Charlotte's population is growing aggressively, and home prices are extremely inflated right now. I thought about buying when we moved, but we're probably only here for 3 years with my wife's residency so renting made more sense.
Also, check out the Park South Station development. Probably a little too far away for you, but seemed like a pretty cool place to live short term.

Yea I've been looking, and it doesn't seem too bad. I'm currently in Houston so I know all about an inflated housing market haha .

Just checked it out, and, no offense, but that kind of place is my nightmare haha. I can't stand those pop-up neighborhoods covered with track homes.
