I'm really impressed with Brandon Coleman

Statistically he didn't set any records, but this guy is going to give defenses fits once he figures the pro game out a little more. He runs great routes, he's 6'6" and can find his way into the end zone.
I was at the game and saw him in warm ups and he looks like he has the most potential of any Saints receiver in 2015. He needs to hit the Juggs machine some more, but expect him to put up better numbers this week. He had 41 receiving yards and a TD reception, and I expect even better numbers from him this week against Tampa Bay.
WHO DAT!!!

Like, a lot.
He had a crucial drop that left Brees visibly pissed off.

Being big and running routes is great....but if he can't catch the damn ball.....

Having a receiver who can't catch is like having a shooting gaurd who can't shoot. Maybe we should put him at CB?

I did not care for a deep out route that he rounded off. I have heard a lot of great stuff about him and it was good to start seeing something with the TD, but I really want to see him catching the ball in traffic down the field where he can use his great size.

He needs to come out of his breaks and cut harder back to the ball.
His size is a huge advantage, but he's leaving defenders an avenue to make a play when his size should prevent it
That's something that comes with time. Stills struggled with it his first year

iirc, that was a tough pass for him to catch at the position he was running in, but he probably still should have caught it. Either way this guy could turn out to be a beast if he gets better with his hands. Hopefully Colston isn't mentoring him on how to do that

The ball almost hit the ground. How the hell is that on him for not catching the ball?
The guy is 6'6 not a midget. Bad throw by brees.

Honestly I think his routes are kind of meh, will improve throughout the year. I do like that he tries to use his hands to catch the ball and not his body. Was surprised on his TD, didn't know he was that nimble and good to see him fight for the TD.

not sure if OP is serious...and
To be clear, I think he has potential and hope he realizes that potential, but to be "really impressed" with what you've seen so far, I don't see it. I'm impressed with his size, but that's about it.

It was a perfect throw but he rounded his route and didn't come to the ball
And he still should have caught it

It was his first game, so he's probably not going to light it up statistically, right?
Give him time, he will develop into one of the best receivers on this team, and eventually one of the best in the NFL.

But Coleman has to do better.
And I think he will.

it was not a bad throw at all, it wasn't perfect but nBrees got clobbered. His WR has to make that catch

you must be pretty easy to impress.

I was far more impressed by Snead's catch and run. He lacks top end speed but he certainly looks to be every bit of the Moore clone he was said to be.
Really we should not have Colston and Coleman on the field at the same time. WAY too similar. Snead only got 18 snaps (14 routes), while Cooks, Colston, and Coleman took the bulk of the snaps.
Snead is a great zone buster and we could have used him a lot more in that game then the twin towers.

Whoa! You need to cool off there. He needs to catch the ball before you start saying stuff like that. All he has is size and potential. You know what the best wide outs in the NFL do? Catch the ball regardless of how its thrown. See Dez Bryant and OBJ. Coleman didn't even make the team last year. We need to slow this train waaaaay down.

This is a joke right? ... Right?
Brees got rocked and he put that ball where only Coleman could catch it. It was 3 feet off the ground, it should have been caught.

I was at the game. My friends and I kept asking ourselves why the Saints were running so many rb screens. I then started to watch our receivers downfield. No separation. None. Zero. It was non existent outside of a few routes here and there. Peterson was jamming Cooks at the line throwing him around like a child and Colston/Coleman are just downright slow. Snead looked slightly better.
