(that passage was about stopping people from stoning a woman who had sex, now had she murdered her kids and ate their hearts, would the passage be the same? You have to understand their are levels of sin and guilt.

Scripture says, "The wages of sin is death". This wasn't qualified by any "level" of sin. ALL sin brings the same punishment without forgiveness from God.

That being said not all sin has the same consequences necessarily. Especially not worldly consequences. All sin has the same consequence of separating you/me/anyone from God, but obviously if you tell someone a lie in casual conversation you won't suffer the same consequences as someone who molests a child or kills another person in cold blood.
