Seeing as how over the past 100 years or so, the terms "negro", "colored", "people of color" (that one is back in vogue now), "Afro-american" "african-american" (although for the life of me I can't find "African-America" on a map), "black" and other terms have fallen in and out of "acceptable use"...it's not out of the realm of possibility that it would come back around as a "reclaimed" term. There's nothing inherently wrong with a simple color descriptor.
