Lexus here...I just figured it was a new advertising package offered by DRTV to keep there commercial up on my screen and be a pita

The current fix is either changing the channel or press the pause button, then press play, then fast forward till it's gone. The buffer is still there, so you don't lose any programming. First time it happened to me, I had left the room and the stupid carnival commercial had been there for 20 minutes.
