A. He's not LSU's HC, so I'm not really concerned about his ability or lack thereof as a "Head Coach"
B. If his success at Bama was a result of them having great players, then he should be fine at LSU.
Your worry that he won't be good at LSU because he wasn't a good HC at Baylor is a illogical. LSU has much more talent than Baylor ever did and LSU isn't asking him to be the HC. I still have questions as to whether or not he'll be a good DC at LSU, but not for the reasons you stated.
