Hey, bill, these oddsmakers know more than you about hoops. And so do I if you believe pels belong in that tier. Last time a team came from 6 or 7 seed to win the title... Who was it bill? It was clutch city guess what Bill, Olajuwon ain't walking though that door. That team had the clutch gene. This one Ain't won a playoff game. 45-1 is pretty accurate IMO.
had. key word, had.
funny thing is, the 6th seed in 2013 became the 1st seed in 2014 and won the title.
interestingly enough, Olajuwon in year 3 at 24 years of age led his team to a 42-40 record. What's that? Davis in year 3 at 21 years of age led his team to a 45-37 record.
+1 Davis
Olajuwon Year 3 posted: 23.4/11.4/2.9, 1.9 SPG, 3.4 BPG, 3.0 TOV, shooting 50.8/20.0/70.2 in 36.8 MPG. He also had an ORTG of 111, DRTG of 99, PER of 23.8, WS of 10.9, VORP of 6.0, and an USG% of 26.8.
Davis Year 3 posted: 24.4/10.2/2.2, 1.5 SPG, 2.9 BPG, 1.4 TOV, shooting 53.5/8.3/80.5 in 36.1 MPG. He also had an ORTG of 122, DRTG of 100, PER of 30.8, WS of 14.0, VORP of 5.7, and a USG% of 27.8.
The following year, Year 4 Olajuwon led his team to 46-36...only 1 more win than Year 3 Davis did for his Pelicans.

? --> another first team all nba selection, wcf appearance at a minimum, maybe MVP. Who knows? One thing I know for sure is that Davis will never surpass Olajuwon. Olajuwon is Mabye the greatest defensive player in league history. Davis allows 50% at the rim. Not even in dreams stratosphere defensively.
Agreed, but he might be just the better overall player. Basketball isn't all about defense...look at Shaq.
shite...
/thread.
