Similar to Clausen (maybe even moreso since Clausen was super-accurate) - he had a slew of great pass-catchers that made him look better than he really was in college. Samardzija was a great receiver; he would have been awesome in the NFL. Stovall and McKnight were also very good, and Fasano was one of the best tight ends in the country that year.
Brady has all the physical tools, is a smart guy, and has a great work ethic, but there was always something just missing with his game.
Situation matters a lot for rookie QB's, too. Getting drafted by Cleveland significantly lowered his odds of being successful. I bet Teddy Bridgewater wakes up every single day and says a quick prayer, thanking God that organization didn't draft him.
