In years past, LSU seemed more comfortable using Rashard Robinson or Jalen Collins against opponents' bigger receivers. Do you think Steele will allow White to man up against the likes of DeRunnya Wilson, Dhaquille Williams and Pharaoe Cooper?

With all due respect to White, I am thinking Ed Paris' length or Kevin Toliver's girth give LSU a better matchup against the bigs.

Never heard Tre referred to as Shaq

Is this actually a thing.

As to your question, he can cover all WR.

Thought he was pretty good when matched up against Treadwell. He's a true cover guy.

Also, Toliver is the tallest while Paris is the CB with the most bulk and most physical.

Yes, 90% of playing man is disrupting the route to throw off timing and it really only has to be a half second off on most plays.

Yes for bigger WR's they will probably go with Paris, and maybe Tolliver(depending on experience). However, at the beginning of Camp they had White and Paris as starting CB's, but with Dwayne Thomas back, I read where he is probably going to be the starter, but really at LSU the words starter are not like in the NFL or something where it means playing time is much more than other players. LSU does a lot of rotating, so having White, Thomas, Paris, Tolliver, Lewis and others is great. Means we won't have a deficiency at the CB or S spot.

LSU should use white the way New England used Revis last year. They should man up Tre White on the teams #2 receiver, then we take our #2 corner and put him the other teams best receiver with safety help over the top. White would absolutely shutdown our opponents #2 receivers every weekend. That way we give our #2 corner help over the top against our opponents #1 receiver. New England won a superbowl with that defensive strategy.

Tre White is our best CB by far and an elite CB in the nation. Arguably the best cover CB in the country, along with Hargreaves. You don't take them off the other teams WR1 just because of their height. And Tre White has proven he can guard bigger WRs as well. Not a problem for him.

What have these guys done to possibly give you that thought? We have no idea if these guys will be able to play at a high level vs the competition at this level. Ones a true freshman and the other is a true sophomore that was strictly a special teamer as a true freshman. And I like both Toliver and Paris, but just have no clue how they will be at CB on this level. I'm not about to take our elite pass coverage CB off of the other teams too WR strictly because of height and put a young guy with no experience on him instead.

Guys like Duke Williams are virtually unguardable. The few inch difference won't matter at all, anf he will need to be doubled regardless.
