I wouldn't even say that. They just had a guy who had a high-profile job previously (Florida) and was known more for his recruiting prowess than coaching ability.

If Illinois ever started caring about football they could be great. The administration at the school cares very little about athletics though. May be big changes coming at the very top too though.
