Every 4 years our offense and defense combine into a football voltron.

A better question, who wouldn't be positive about the LSU football program after our past 15 years of equaled success.
What LSU football program did you fiokkiw prior to 2000???
Specifically as two 2015, we apparently have a more experienced, more talented, and more knowledgeable of the game quarterback than we had last season. We also have a new defense coordinator and a new defense of line coach. We apparently have one of the better SEC RB to ever take the field for LSU,
Does any of that guarantee an SEC title or national success? Of course not, But it certainly calls for optimism. Well, it does unless you're just a negative Nancy.

I feel okay about this year but next year is what I really feel positive about. After BH gets a year under his belt.

that doesn't sound very positive. sounds like you'll be pissed off all season unless we play for another NC
hey, ya know what??? UP yours dipshit.......... The dude wants another NC...Don't you???? Maybe Miles just DOESN'T have what I takes t get another one even with ALL the talent floating around LSU the last 5-6 years..... I am in NO WAY a sunshine pumping blind homer... But this team COULD be special.. I hope it is.... But if it is NOT there is only ONE person to blame....
The Head Coach............

it's nature vs nurture.
i believe we are all born positive, but how we are nurtured determines our personality.
if you were raised by negative, critical and sarcastic parenting, that's what you are today!
change only happens with a life changing moment.

quote:I got that impression with the 2014 freshman class, coming into the season. Fournette, Dupre, Harris, Quinn, Adams, etc.
If you're in the "feel pretty strongly that we'll will the west, have about 1 loss, win SECCG," or better, when did you get that way? Any specific reason (outside of talent, talent, and talent)?
I felt that there was already a strong group of underclassmen there, and acceptable depth at every position across the board. Our class might have been behind Alabama's, but I think their's was overrated- getting a couple of elite O-linemen doesn't have as much impact, since both LSU and Bama will ALWAYS produce good linemen.
I figured 2014 was going to be a period of freshmen getting their feet wet, sometimes painful, but that 2015 and 2016 would be obscenely good.
Nothing has happened over the past 12 months that has changed my opinion.

Oh, sounds like someone is "frustrated" over their, "Jennings will start no matter what happens in fall practice" BS "FACT" statement being wrong.

Easy now.....remember, Peej has more knowledge than the rest of us on LSU football, and he is just trying to help us face reality, and that he can't help it that most of us are unable to accept the truth....LOL
Speaking of saying BH will not start at QB under Miles.....remember last year when he was telling us how there was zero chance that LSU could beat Ole Miss? LOL...he gave us all the reasons why LSU was going to be beaten badly. LMAO
I'd say that on games where it is possible LSU could lose, Peej has a prediction record of about 10% correct.

I'm not a positiger at all, but I can be one this year. LSU is prob more talented than anyone in the SEC. Certainly as talented as any other team
I agree with you outside of defensive line and QB. Two very important positions.

Another reason to be positive is that the rest of the SEC is weak compared to the last decade. Alabama is down big.
What? The SEC West is more competitive than it's ever been. Miss State was #1 in week 9 last season and is picked to finish last in the division.
Alabama has more talent than any team in the country. Don't let negative news about their QB competition fool you.

competitive is one thing...being really good is another. I contend that Miss State was a competitive team last year......but believe State's "good year" was also due to the fact that LSU and Auburn were down last year. Texas A&M was even worse, and State was very fortunate to beat Arkansas last year. Not trying to knock State, but those factors do play a role, along with them also having a veteran team and pretty good QB.
I don't believe the hype on Auburn this year until proven differently....and Ole Miss still doesn't have a running game or strong OL....and who knows on their QB. Alabama has all kinds of questions on offense.......and Arkansas, despite showing improvement, is 2-14 over the last two years in the SEC. State lost far too much, and that will be known soon...and A&M is A&M.
Does LSU have questions? A couple. We won't know for sure about BH until the season starts. But the facts are he wasn't ready last year as a TF. However, he was very highly regarded out of highschool, and has tremendous ability and talent....In addition, all reports are that he has improved drastically since last year. They also have questions on depth on the defense front 4 and MLB....but the starting unit should be outstanding and IF they can avoid major injuries, especially at MLB, they will be special. On offense, they likely have several future first or second round draft picks between the OL, Dural, Dupree, Fournette, Guice, and that's not even to mention the tight end or Johnson (who I know hasn't played a down at LSU yet).
yes, there is much to be optimistic for this year, and LSU could truly have a special team on a much different level than some of the other teams in the SEC West. BH will truly be key...oh and water is w

I doubt that you thought Jeremy Hill was the best running back in the SEC did you? LF is a special player. Chubb is also.....but LF has tools that will move him into very, very, very special territory before he is done at LSU....barring injury of course.
I'm assuming you didn't see the true freshman play towards the end of the season last year. He is the next superstar from a long line of superstars in the LSU secondary.

I blame the head coach for all the talant floating around !
Posted on 8/26/15 at 2:47 pm to TigerTreyjpg
Lot's of reasons
1) Most physically talented LSU QB since Ryan Perriloux will be the starter and got live game snaps last year. Our backup QB is, at the very least, SEC starter experienced.
2) we bring back a former 1000 yard 10 TD true freshman RB
3) we return every WR that caught a pass last year
4) we return our blocking TE and our receiving TE (don't laugh)
5) return 3 OL starters who would all be drafted this year if they left. One year removed from a blocking scheme change.
6) return both starting DTs for the first time in a while (can't remember how long ago)
7) return our starting MLB, who could become an All American
8) Jamal Adams is a freshman all american at safety. Tre White is a top 5 corner in the country.
9) Ed O and Kevin Steele are top flight position coaches. Tony Ball is going back to basic with our WRs (something the desperately needed).
10) the 2015 recruiting class is packed with playmakers that will contribute heavily in backup/rotating roles (Guice, Toliver, Jackson, Key).
11). We won 8 games last year with nothing but #4 and #5 of these 10.

Ramsey has now become a corner, or gone back to it, so try again.
I just think Fournette will be better than Chubb. Chubb had a better situation and just acclimated to the game faster. That changes this year IMO.

When I realized HOW we lost 5 games last year.
2 games were lost before Beckwith was solidified.
1 game was lost in OT to a playoff team.
The other 2 were at least partly to blame on the letdown against Bama.
We won 8 games with the worst (literally) QB in college.
We're bringing in a top 5 class with several freshman who will contribute.
We return more starters than every team in the West besides Ole Miss.

So why even play the season at all... By your logic they should just give the SEC West trophy to LSU right now......... None of the other teams in the west know how to recruit good players...ONLY LSU does that... No team can reload and have a great season.... None of the other coaches know how to put a winning team on the field...According to YOUR logic..... So by saying what you said the SEC west will be way down this year with those BAD teams you keep talking about..Inso the wins LSU gets against them won't mean very much if they aren't that highly rated... See how it works?????
