It bothers me that nobody is ever cutting to the goal on a shot for a put back or rebound. They all still stand around and watch.
ETA: I am a season ticket holder and very excited for the season. Didn't want to sound too Debbie Downer. Just hate not seeing some of the fundamentals of basketball in our game.

That's not a fundamental of basketball. The more people who crash, the more vulnerable you are to a fast break. Perhaps our goal as a defense is to limit fast break chances and make teams play half court.

Call me crazy, but rebounding seems pretty fundamental. Maybe not the act of cutting to the basket, but you have to be in a position to rebound to actually rebound.

Good video. He's a really well-spoken guy and I look forward to watching him play in the PMAC.
This year's team will be a solid combination between experience and raw talent. I look for a possibly shaky start to the conference season, but I expect them to finish strong.

The shooter should be following his shot, since he has a feel for where it will go if it's indeed off. You definitely don't want everyone crashing the boards at once though.

If you are the person closest to half court when you shoot, I would never advise that person to crash the boards. There are chances of tip outs to that person as well as being the last line of defense to stop teams from running out quickly.

I can't believe Jones was stupid enough to offer a guy who's only going to be on campus for a year

Despite all the hype, comparisons, and pressure, Simmons is always cool, calm, and collective. And that's pretty awesome. He never seems to force stuff and just lets the game come to him and does his thing. Pretty ridiculous for someone that young with that much pressure and hype.
Gonna be a monster and a fun year of hoops. Can't wait.

Yeah the kid can do it all.
A month or 2 ago he was at some camp with some big time NBA players and Bilas said he was the best passer out there. Also said he held his own guarding Harden and then held his own guarding AD. Freak.
He's 1 of those rare guys that isn't just a great individual player, but he makes everyone on the floor with him better. His impact is ridiculous and he does it by doing a lot of everything... Scoring, passing, rebound, blocks, creating for teammates, stretching the floor, ball handling, vision, BBall IQ, etc.
Pretty ridiculous for a kid that young to be so advanced in every facet of the game.
