Am I the only one who thinks he tripped on purpose trying to be funny? Or as part of a dare to touch the painting?

Watching the video over and over it doesn't appear he tripped on anything and does appear to be on purpose. If he did trip by accident he would have put his hand down on the rope and/or stand. There was no reason to go into the painting as it happened so slowly (not some dramatic crash) he could have went anywhere else but there.
