Since there is no "rule violation", all this is pre-approved for lack of a better term, I say LSU should take full advantage of it. For example, if there's a kid from India add his travel to and from Pune to the "total cost of attendance" and roll with it. Those meals LSU provides that Refield mentioned, add the cost of the food, the servers, the chef(s), even the napkins and table cloth to it. Instead of it reducing the cost to the athlete, on papers show it as an increase.

Go for it.

I 100% agree. If Bama and Auburn made their stipend come up to $5300 then we should re calculate ours to make it come up to the same exact amount. If the NCAA comes after us over it and not those two then we should just go a head and withdraw from the NCAA as it is obvious that they are stacking the deck against us and in favor of their favorites. Kudos to Auburn for having the balls to match Bama on this. Anyone in their right mind (as I am a moron) really believe that Alabama athletes have the highest out of pocket expenses of any athletes at any school in the country

. Your going to tell me that Bama hasn't been taking care of it's football players and it's been costing their football players more to attend there than at any other other programs.

Bama players don't get all the meals that other programs provide. Bama players have to pay for their own laptops but other programs players don't. Bama players get crummy dorm rooms and have to pay their own utilities. Bama players are given crummy beater cars and minimum wage jobs by the alumni but other schools alumni provide brand new SUV's and $25 an hour jobs, etc. What a joke. What a miracle they have been getting consensus #1 recruiting classes year after year against such long odds they have to overcome.
