Curved TVs seem like they limit the range of good viewing angles, and it seems like the extra money would be better spent on a larger or higher quality flat screen.
Also, the focal plane of most cameras is flat, so a curved TV will introduce distortion, right?

A limited range of viewing angles would vary by individual circumstances, but I'd assume if you've got a wide enough viewing range, it would.
As per distortion, I haven't noticed any, but you could be correct.
