I'm shocked that we didn't win first place for roaches too, always thought we were the cockroach capitol of the world.
One time at Luke, we were eating 1/2 price oysters for happy hour and the girl next to us pointed to a roach on the wall and freaked because she was from up north. The manager happened to be nearby, heard her comotion and comped all our oysters and drinks.
Ima bring my own roach next time.

20+ years ago I used to landscape Jackson Barracks. It was January'ish and my crew was getting all the dead banana trees cut and picked up. Let me tell you, the amount of cock-a-roaches in the ground/leaves made the ground seem to move. That was a particularly unpleasant day.
