Draft Pick Update: If the season ended today, we would hold the 7th pick in the Rule IV player draft.

Should be able to find a pitcher coming off TJ in that slot.

Right now, the top 7 or 8 in next years draft looks great. Id rather have a pick in the top three, but we are still in place for a great pick.

My top 10 right now:
1.Riley Pint||RHP||St Thomas Aquinas, KS
2.Robert Tyler||RHP||Georgia
3.Alec Hansen||RHP||Oklahoma
4.Nick Banks||RF||Texas A&M
5.Jason Groome||RHP||IMG Academy, FL
6.Blake Retherford||CF||Chaminade, CA
7.AJ Puk||LHP||Florida
8.Austin Bergner||RHP||Windemere, FL
9.Matt Crohan||LHP||Winthrop
10.Chris Okey||C||Clemson

I have crushes on Tyler, Banks, Groome, and Crohan at the moment.

Puk is higher, IMHO. I am a big Seth Beer fan. Kid is probably the best pure athlete in the draft. Pint is a pipe dream. Wouldn't mind Rutherford or Banks tho. Will probably end up with Tyler.

ETA: I'd have Tyler on the bottom half of that list.

I know most have Puk and Groome in the top three with Hansen, but Puk was awful last year until the post season, and Groome wasnt great until this summer. If they keep it up, then I definitely see them going upward very quickly.

I love Tyler because after his injury, he came back to dominance. He hit 99, and was hovering around 97 against Kentucky.

I do like Banks a lot, and he could be in Atlanta very quickly, maybe even by 2017. He would definitely push Markakis to left. I think he has 20/20 potential, with a average that will hover around .280, and descent defense.

Edit:Also, I havent seen much of Beer. He hasnt been in the top 30 of the few sites Ive seen. Once Im able to see more of him, I can get a better feel.

I think Pint is 1.1 right now.

Beer is a very projectable. Great athlete. Little raw and as always, is a GA HS product.

I definitely have Pint first overall, but it seems like many see the summers of Puk and Groome and are pushing them up.

I did my top ten hastily, and Ill probably have Hansen lower. His skills have not matched his production yet. Id probably have him just outside of the top five.

It is not a bad top ten. It is just natural that the Braves always are linked to the top GA HS player, thus Beer. More I read about it, he may be there around our comp pick. It is an avg HS position player class, but there are about 7 players that have thus far seperated themselves. Much better class than 2015.

Here is a Beer video: LINK

Im not a fan from that two min video. He isnt fast at all with the 7+ 60. He hammered balls from a certain spot during BP, but it looked like that he handled the inside ball badly. He had no answer for it, other than to dribble it foul. I can definitely see why he has been outside of the top 30 in the rankings Ive seen so far.

edit:yeah, not a fan at all

Melvin Upton Jr hits 2 HR tonight and the Barves barve once again while making a former shitty player look like an All-star.

We suck so bad

Albies is the #12 prospect overall in the updated FanGraphs rankings. Obviously the Braves top guy. Gave him a 60 FV.

Allard listed as the #14 Draft/July 2 addition with a 50 FV.

Wisler and Folty officially graduated. Wisler gets a 55 FV, Folty a 50.
