GSU Tiger,

Where are you located? I am in Abu Dhabi UAE and I watch all the LSU games when I am here and it comes with Jambalaya and Gumbo and crawfish etouffee when I have some in stock.

I watch on either ESPN Player college football season package which is available in Middle East but not in Southeast Asia (my second home is in Bangkok) or I have a Slingbox hooked up in Lafayette LA. which I can sling here in Abu Dhabi or anywhere in the world.

There is usually a Fox Sports feed that some games can appear on but the feed went out a while back and hopefully will come back as Fox and local cable co. usually fight for more money for the feeds and ESPN used to be on local cable but they always argue about money on those feeds.

I also have a few other sites that I can get the games on should my slingbox fail or ESPN Player does not offer the game that particular week.

Hope that helps and if you are in UAE reply back to this thread and we can exchange contact details.

It's been a couple of years since my last deployment but each time I was in the middle east I was able to see most of LSUs games on AFN. Hopefully LSU can achieve a decent ranking throughout the season because AFN shows plenty of games but they tend to show the highly ranked teams more often.

Most of your sec games will and should be on AFN. However as you already know AFN is nothing to be relied upon.

What you need is a VPN. virtual private network. The VPN is super easy to use. If you have problems with it just GTS. In a nutshell, it mask your IP address into thinking you are somewhere else. What I do when I am in a different timezone I pick the USA server furtherest awary from me since it will have the most available bandwidth (most people aren't usuing it becuase of local time asleep etc).

You can get a free VPN or buy them. I would just say bite the bullet and spend the 40-60 for the reliability and buy one.

Once you have the VPN up and running just borrow a buds espn/cable provider password and sign in as you would like you are CONUS. VPN will also get other things working for you too, like netflix vudu etc...There are other ways but this is by far the best that I have used so far. I have watched LSU games on four different continents so far with this setup and its a lot better than anything else I have tried.

This all of couse depends on internet. You need the Internet which I assume you will have since you were originally able to send this message.

GL Stay safe! I hope you enjoy your deployment and come back home safely!!!

Don't they ban football in the middle east because the football is made out of "pigskin"?

Perhaps our diplomacy strategy in the middle east should be to spread the joy and awesomeness of American Football.

first row sports.eu. tons of adds but it gets the job done. I've used this many times in the BPC over there.

GSU,

ESPN Player works in the Middle East !! But not Far East unless they changed it for this year.

Like I said if you can get someone back home to hook up a slingbox for you then great. Buy another cable receiver and put in a room where no one uses it but you, then you are set.

Another streaming option that is badass and always worked for me is ROJADIRECTA. My Slingbox had a connection problem for the Bama game last year and this stream site worked and was clear and steady.

And the VPN also works good as you can watch from CBS Sports on the internet only with a VPN as it would not work from the Middle East on local internet.
