SabiDojo, read that book. It proves LHO was the lone shooter. He was a nut case. Spent 2 years in the USSR.

You understand that those of us with experience handling firearms are highly skeptical of the official story - of the rapidity of the shots, the relatively low quality of the alleged weapon, the complications of the site of the operation, the relative implausibility of the "magic bullet" theory and other strange coincidences that befell people involved with the assassination, alleged witnesses, the assassin of the assassin, - just a whole host of irregularities surrounding the whole thing.

"proves" is just off the table because of this. I'm not saying a reasonable person cannot believe that LHO acted alone - and there is evidence to support this conclusion.

But, it is pretentiousness at its height to pretend that a reasonable person cannot believe alternative theories that also have evidentiary support - suggesting this could have been an operation by rogue elements of the CIA, U.S. organized crime, or some combination. For that matter, that cannot be proven either.

On your broader point, I agree with you that JFK can be considered largely fictional and based - almost solely - on Garrison's perspective and account from his book, "On The Trail of the Assassins".

Yes, the movie had an incredible amount of fiction in it.

Not that I'm convinced of the lone shooter thy, but I did see recently that the "magic bullet" phenom was debunked, as the Warren Commision had the wrong measurements/ positions of the rear seat configuration of the limo. When the Gov's seat is brought up and in (back, and to the left) toward center, the trajectory is much more linear, allowing for slight corrections from 1st and 2nd impacts.

One round could have caused the multiple hits without an impossible trajectory.
