I noticed Ed is not on the St Thomas Aquinas football roster on their athletic site. I heard a rumor a while back he was not happy there and looking to transfer to another school. Anyone know something about this?

Local paper had an article with head coach White talking about the upcoming season. He mentioned Ed A by name as one of his 22 seniors that he was looking forward to playing. This was in the paper just a couple days ago.

This is completely false. He had to go to summer school to pick his grades up, but he has been practicing with the team and doing well.

Ed is not going anywhere. The only other school he'll attend is LSU

While there are ways it could happen, he is not going to PHS.

Not false at all. I know for a fact that he spoke with ponchy and Hammond coaches about transferring in the spring, but decided against it.

He couldn't keep his grades up at STA and almost had no other choice but to transfer if he wanted to play football, much less graduate high school... So if you "know for a fact" that he talked to other coaches that's the reason why.
Obviously things worked out and he picked his grades up and will be playing at STA this season, so that's all that really matters.

Sounds like that is caveated by "if his grades are in order"

Depending on where he lives...would that not say which school he had to go to? Hammond has fallen on bad times with that program. Hope he can pull through with STA.

You will have a hard time getting those coaches to say that happened for a fact.

I only want to see you in here if he goes to Bama

I know when I played for ponchatoula it was a majority minority rule that would allow him to be eligible. A black athlete could transfer from Hammond and be eligible at Ponchatoula and vise versa.

Yea, that may be true. I didn't think of that.

Agree hard time proving that one overall Ed is a good kid . That kid so relieved when he commited . Until you know the pressure of a high recruit and family ............

Ed is not going anywhere. He has made every STA practice this fall so far and is in great health. Academically he is good to go as well. He's motivated and ready for a big senior season.
